In March this year, my friend Camille and I installed my Woven Time wallpaper around some beautiful double doors in the new Living Space Studio Gallery in Newhaven. We’d never done it before, and I’m not going to pretend we found it easy. But now I get to be in the space and experience how this living artwork is experienced by our visitors, what they see in it, how it makes them feel, whether they want to live with it or just enjoy it as it is. I see their eyes widen in surprise, sometimes awe, as they realise what they are looking at — an opportunity to bring living worlds differently into our homes. To bring the outside, in — as artworks, companions, teachers, resources, inspirations.
I offer all Artful Weave designs with this intention and invitation — to explore, and possibly deepen, your embodied encounters with the animate worlds you love and, through this, find new possibilities for co-living.

Textiles
Textiles for me are all about touch, the tactile, feeling the fabric against my fingers or simply wishing I could. Of course colour, pattern, and even texture bring me into visual relationship with cloth, in the same immersive dream of longing and pleasure. I love what it feels like when multiple senses are engaged at the same time, when I am called be present with cloth as if it were alive. I know in these moments there is life in the space between us.

For Artful Weave, I started with bedding, my love of natural fabrics, and the beautifully large canvas of a doona (aka duvet) cover or quilt. My visual art journey started this way, quilting an underwater scene for a friend on vintage napkins from the op shop. She still carries it in her van around the country.
Today I am drawn to the paradox of my relationship with the algae, along the island's shore. I arrived afraid of seaweed, as many people are, because we cannot see what's underneath it and/or because we recoil viscerally at the idea of its physical touch. And yet, moving to Millowl, I discovered beauties in some of my favourite shades, with almost infinite filament patterns that mirror rivers from the sky and the capillary beds just under my skin. Falling delicately in love, I learnt more about what it gives to us as members of its living worlds. I wondered if we could learn to live differently with it, to acknowledge any discomfort and deepen our co-living, even to the point of inviting it into our beds.

Artful Weave explores many forms of relational co-living, with a range of abstract organic forms drawn from Millowl’s coast. From the patterns on mineral rocks to the light on tide at dusk, the images available on wallpaper are offered on tablecloths, bedding, and versatile fabric pieces at custom lengths by repeat.
I also draw on my original paintings to offer fine art prints on fabric pieces for wall hangings or cushions, tea towels, and other custom items on request.
As a lover of the ocean I don’t take textile production lightly. If I am bringing new textiles into the world I insist they come with quality — ideally artisan care and love — and with print to order as much as possible. I make careful but imperfect choices about my suppliers, balancing quality with labour rights, environmental impacts, shipping distance, time, capacity, and price, and I’m committed to transparency about the choices I make. To me, textiles have always been an art form. I believe that remembering this has potential to change how we live with and consume them.
The sun’s flame sinks at the horizon as the tide lifts and rises, each carrying wild forces of change. Caught between flame and sea, the scene becomes a threshold — luminous, unsettled, urgent and yet still. Flame and Tide reflects the energy of place, never contained or containable, speaking to beauty, the past, and to the uncertain futures pressing against us.

Flame and Tide is printed on a cotton–linen fabric with a natural woven texture that gives printed designs depth and a softly structured finish. Can be framed or hung on a rod as a textile art panel. Available in custom sizes.
Butterfly captures a moment of stillness, a small companion at rest on a branch heavy with amber sap, hovering between the natural and the dreamlike. Dark wings marked in cream and white, glossy leaves, the slow drip of resin, preparing for flight.
This hemmed tablecloth is made from a premium cotton–linen fabric with a natural woven texture that gives printed designs depth and softness.
This tablecloth is 1.7 × 1.32m, cut from the printed fabric and finished by me with a stitched double-fold hem with mitred corners. It works beautifully on round and oval tables (as pictured), as well as standard tables within these dimensions — and custom sizes can be made to order.
Printed using water-based pigment ink directly onto fabric — a dry process that uses no water and produces no waste ink during printing. The bright white base enhances colour vibrancy and depth, allowing the full range of tones in the print to come through with exceptional clarity. The slub weave gives the fabric surface a natural, tactile texture, with enough structure for everyday use, making it well suited to tablecloths, runners, napkins, cushions, curtains, wall hangings, tea towels and other home accessories.

Saltwoven draws from the edge where things gather — seaweed, grasses, fragments carried and caught. Across the table, it becomes a field of quiet movement. Dense, layered, and slightly wild, light moves across it, pulling out deep maroons, salt greys, and shadowed blues. A living surface for living otherwise.
Printed using water-based pigment ink directly onto fabric — a dry process that uses no water and produces no waste ink during printing. The fabric has a natural background colour that warms the print. The cotton-linen blend retains richness while maintaining a natural, slightly textured finish, with subtle slubbing on the thicker yarns creating surface texture through the weave. It drapes well and remains structured enough for everyday use, making it well suited to a wide range of home textiles including tablecloths, runners, napkins, cushions, curtains, wall hangings, tea towels and other home accessories.
Ordering information: Minimum order is 1m x 1.38m, sold in 1m increments online or in custom lengths by direct order. Fabric is supplied as a continuous length and pattern placement may vary slightly depending on how the fabric is cut.
