The tight weave gives the fabric a gentle sheen and a smooth surface that enhances the clarity of the seaweed design, allowing the flowing forms and tonal depth of the artwork to translate beautifully onto fabric. Cotton sateen drapes naturally across the bed and softens further with washing, combining comfort with a refined finish that suits both relaxed and more considered interiors. The wide fabric width allows the design to extend across the surface of the doona cover without interruption, creating an immersive field of pattern that brings the movement of coastal plant forms into the room. Printing: digitally printed using reactive inks that permanently bond with the fibres for strong colour and wash durability. Production: produced through a textile manufacturer in Montreal with a focus on ethical labour practices and responsible production. Printed on demand using reactive dye printing, which permanently bonds colour to natural fibres and helps reduce waste by producing textiles only as they are needed. Care: first wash separately in cold water with mild detergent, vinegar and salt to remove any residual ink from the print process; subsequent washes machine wash cold with phosphate-free detergent. Machine dry on high heat. Iron on cotton setting if desired. Expected shrinkage: approx. 2–3% in width and length after washing.
